NEW YORK – The Giants “experts” and most football fans believe that the G-Men will run all over the Dolphins on Sunday. My advice to all of those thinking this is an easy win is to remain quiet until after the game. The Dolphins have been disrespected and pushed around all year. The worst thing about this team is they have absolutely nothing to lose by playing crazy. By playing crazy I mean doing things out of the ordinary and making crazy plays like it was a meaningless Pro Bowl game. I think DC Perry Fewell needs to keep the players on their toes this week in practice and prepare them for some funky college-type madness.
The Dolphins are 0-6 so far this year and trust me, Coach Coughlin does not want to be the guy to give them their first win. He will have his team ready to play and the recent news of DE Justin Tuck, RB Brandon Jacobs, OL Chris Snee and rookie CB Prince Amukamara practicing is very encouraging. All four of them are returning from injuries. The G-Men will need all hands on deck to compete with the elite teams they face in the second half this year. Dolphins QB Matt Moore was banged up in last weeks game but is expected to play against the Giants this weekend. Still, the Dolphins went out and signed QB JP Losman to back him up in case the sack happy Giants knock him out of the game. Miami has not stopped tinkering with their roster for months now. This might be one of the reasons why they are 0-6. These players keep getting new blood rotated into the locker room and have no real chemistry with each other.
Miami has the 19th ranked overall offense and the 23rd ranked defense in the NFL. If not for their winless record, you would think they were a middle of the pack team (on the low end of course). Most experts have them ranked in the bottom three teams for the entire NFL. The Giants are ranked 11th overall for offense and 22nd for defense. After last weekends heartbreaking loss to QB Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, late in the fourth quarter, I fully expect the Dolphins to play like a possessed team this weekend. They have a lot of pride down there in Miami and will look to save face by beating Big Blue at home. If the G-Men beat the Dolphins and improve to 5-2 on the year, the next best thing that could happen would be the Eagles beating the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football and knocking each other deeper into the middle of the pack of the NFC East. The Giants and Dolphins will play this Sunday at 1:00 PM EST at MetLife stadium.

NEW YORK – The New York Giants have done what they needed to do before the bye week. They have won more games then they’ve lost and have entered the bye week on a high note. They are in first place in the NFC East and face the lowly Dolphins (0-5) upon their return to the field in two weeks. Only three teams in the entire NFC have a better record then Big Blue (Packers, 49ers and Lions) which will help them out with their playoff hopes down the line. Other NFC East teams like the Cowboys and Eagles will find it extremely difficult to make it to the playoffs this year with their pitiful records. The Redskins have played surprisingly well this year including beating the G-men in week one. The Giants will have an opportunity for some payback in week fifteen when they face the Redskins again at home.
Enough about the future for now, let’s enjoy the fact that New York is in first place and playing pretty good football considering they lost 1/5 of the team to injury. Even Coach Coughlin couldn’t help himself in a press conference this week by saying he hopes to get some of his guys back after the bye week. Don’t we all Coach! We have to give credit to these rookies and second string players who have really stepped up and made a difference. Rookies like LB Jacquian Williams, LB Greg Jones, S Tyler Sash and LB Mark Herzlich have really made an impact. RB Da’Rel Scott has shown flashes of what he can do when given an opportunity. Other players like CB Aaron Ross, P Steve Weatherford, WR Victor Cruz and TE Jake Ballard have also helped out tremendously. With week six behind us, the Giants find themselves ranked the 12th best offense in the NFL and the 20th ranked defense. Keep in mind, the defense took a particularly brutal hit with injuries that decimated their secondary and linebacker corps.
The Giants will get an entire week off to rest and then get back to work next week for the remainder of the season. I hope the players get a much deserved rest and come back ready for the fight of their lives. Giants fans will have to wait out the bye week to see their team play but it may be prefect timing. You never want your bye week to arrive too early or too late in a season. Having a week seven, eight or nine bye week is preferable to the week five or eleven bye weeks. So in that sense, the G-men were lucky. I really believe the Giants have a good shot at winning the NFC East this year. They will need to win six of their final ten games to have a shot at doing that and a shot at making it to the playoffs. Winning seven games would be even better but for now, the G-Men are King of the Mountain. The Giants next game will be October 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM EST against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife stadium.

NEW YORK – The Giants needed to beat the Seahawks in order to start the season at 4-1 and gain some serious ground in the NFC. They were not able to do this and lost 36-25 in a heartbreaker. Everyone expected the Giants to win this game, even though the Seahawks statistically had a better defense then Big Blue. The achilles heal for Seattle was the fact that they also had the worst offense in the NFL, ranked dead last at 32. The Giants drop to 3-2 on the year and have to figure out how to recover from losing to the worst offense in the NFL.
The Giants defense had been a bit shaky in the backfield so far this year and I thought the Seattle game plan would be to continually throw the ball back there and see what happens. I was correct and a 2nd string QB took us to town. I mean the Seahawks couldn’t do worse then being dead last right? So they had nothing to lose by playing “Hail Mary” football. My pre-game advice for the Giants was to concentrate on the defensive backfield and let the defensive ends do their thing. The game was going back and forth like a playground ride and the players went into the locker room at halftime tied 14-14. I was sure the Giants would come out fired up for the second half but it never panned out that way.
In the end, it looked liked the Giants would prevail but then the wheels came off in the 4th quarter. It is hard to describe how it all went down because it was such a confusing game to watch. The turnovers and penalties did nothing to clear the fog of war from my eyes either. It was another sloppy game for both teams and really annoying to watch on TV. The Giants will need to instill some discipline in their game plan before the second half of this brutal schedule starts. Elite teams will capitalize off those errors and run up the score on Big Blue. I’m sure Coach Coughlin will be preaching discipline in their next practice session.
Let’s take a look at some of my notes from the game.
QB Eli Manning – Manning had a better game then the final stats show. He finished with 420 yards 3 TD’s and 3 INT’s. Two of those INT’s were not his fault.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw – Bradshaw had a good game and finished with 58 yards on the ground and 27 yards receiving.
WR Hakeem Nicks – Nicks was quiet most of the game but still finished with 65 yards and 1 TD.
DE Justin Tuck – Tuck did not play in this game and is on the mend from a recent injury.
S Antrel Rolle – Rolle had his usual hard hitting day and finished second on the defense in tackles.
WR Mario Manningham – Super Mario had a good game and finished with 56 yards and 0 TD’s.
DE Jason Pierre-Paul – JPP continued his monster season by finishing with 2.5 sacks. The guy is a beast!
LB Michael Boley – Boley had a great game and was all over the field as usual.
TE Jake Ballard – Ballard was balling and finished with 72 yards and 1 TD. This guy has come a long way.
C David Baas – Baas missed playing in this game due to injury and boy did the team see a difference. There were a bunch of botched snaps in this game.
DE Osi Umenyiora – Osi has been on fire since returning to the field and finished with 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
LB Jacquian Williams – The rookie LB led the team in tackles once again this week and seems to be the steal of the draft for Big Blue thus far.
WR Victor Cruz – Cruz had a break out game by finishing with 161 yards and 1 TD. He has come along nicely since being injected into the starting offense.
LB Mathias Kiwanuka – Kiwi was lining up all over the field and finished with 1 sack. It’s fun watching this guy play the game.
S Deon Grant – Grant had a nice game and was administering some hard hits out there. He also finished the game with 1 sack.
RB Brandon Jacobs – Jacobs had to sit this game out due to injury and I think the team missed him in the running attack.
LB Greg Jones – The rookie Jones had a quiet day but still seems to be improving week to week.
CB Aaron Ross – Ross and the backfield had a rough day but Ross still managed to grab 1 INT.
K Lawrence Tynes – Tynes made 1 FG and both of his extra point attempts. No complaints from me about his season so far.
P Steve Weatherford – The Weatherman had another good game and continues to be a bright spot on Special Teams.
Giants Defense – The Giants let the worst offense in the entire NFL beat them and put 36 points on the board. If you look at their final stat line, it wouldn’t appear that way. They finished with 6 sacks, 1 INT and 2 forced fumbles.
Giants Offense – The Giants offense was having a tough time putting points on the board and their running game seemed non-existent. They had a decent game that could have been better.
Giants Special Teams – The achilles heel of Big Blue did the best they could once again. Still coming up short of acceptable game play.

EAST RUTHERFORD- In the past, injuries have been known to crush the hopes of making it to the Super Bowl for many teams in the NFL. I used to believe there was no such thing as a ‘one man marching band’, but this year, the Indianapolis Colts have made think twice about that. Since the 2006 season, Colts QB Peyton Manning has lead the Colts to two Super Bowls and one championship. Unfortunately, due to a neck injury, Peyton has seen only the sideline this season. The Colts have started 0-3 this season for the first time in quite a while. That goes to show you that perhaps there is such a thing as a ‘one man marching band’.
In my opinion, Eli’s brother Peyton has clearly been the one and ONLY anchor for the entire Colts team. Now, many of you know the Giants have been riddled with injuries this season. But unlike the Colts, I believe the Giants have adjusted well enough to losing some key players to win games. The Giants have a 2-1 start after stopping the so called ‘dream team’ last week, the Eagles. So enough babbling, here is the Giants injury update for this Sunday’s game in Arizona.
CB Prince Amukamara: Out
No surprise here. Giants fans were told before the regular season began that Amukamara would most likely miss 4-6 weeks this season after suffering a foot injury during training camp. Of course, he would be a key player this week with the Giants facing Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals but I believe the CB’s have performed rather well without him and will continue to do so this week.
WR Brandon Stokley: Out
Eli Manning will have to play without Stokley this week because Stokley left practice early Wednesday with a quadricep injury. Still, I think that Eli will have plently of options and will be able to find a reciever to throw to seeing how WR Victor Cruz has stepped up to the plate. No word on when Stokley’s return might be.
DE Justin Tuck: Questionable
Justin Tuck’s lingering neck injury may keep him off the field this Sunday. This could end up being the missing link this week. With Tuck not on the field I think Card’s QB Kevin Kolb would have ample time to toss a pass to WR Larry Fitzgerald. This could prove to be deadly for the Giants. All Giants fans are hoping to see No.91 on the field this weekend.
DE Osi Umenyiora: Questionable
Giants coaches and Umenyiora are ‘optimistic’ that Umenyiora may take the field Sunday after being sidelined since August after knee surgery. Umenyiora could be a sigh of relief it Tuck cannot take the field Sunday.
LB/LS Zak DeOssie: Questionable
DeOssie was listed as questionable with a back injury and did not practice on Friday. Zak is a tough guy and it would take something serious to keep him out of a game.
Among the banged up players who will likely take the field on Sunday are Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks. This will be a sigh of relief for Manning who will need all of his weapons and also because Stokley is out this week. If the Giants can shut down the Kolb-Fitzgerald combo, I think the G-Men will have no problem taking down the Cards tomorrow. The game starts at 4:05 PM EST. GO GIANTS!

NEW YORK – This was one of the most anticipated games of the season. There was so much hype surrounding this game because of all the trash talk in the media by the Eagles. It was widely believed that the Eagles would field the better team because the G-Men suffered so many injuries but the experts were wrong again. The Giants won the game 29-16 (my prediction prior to the game was 27-16, pretty close). Even though the Eagles proclaimed themselves to be a “Dream Team” prior to the start of the season, they couldn’t back up their talk. Only time will tell how good they are but seeing how they were 1-1 before this game and 1-2 after the game, they sure don’t look like a “Dream Team” to me.
Let me be fair, this was a hard fought victory. Both teams were playing their hearts out and QB Michael Vick looked like he was on his way to having a great game until the Giants broke his right hand. Fans knew the game was over at that point. The Giants went into the locker room at halftime with a 14-13 lead and appeared to have lost the momentum. That trend continued in the 3rd quarter but then in the 4th quarter the Giants came back to life and finished strong. The entire game lived up to the hype and had the outcome that Giants fans were looking for. The Giants needed this win badly after losing the last six straight games to the Eagles.
The Giants offense performed so well that I will have to divide my offensive game ball into three sections for QB Eli Manning, RB Ahmad Bradshaw and WR Victor Cruz. Manning had his best game of the year despite being sacked 3 times. The offense played above and beyond what anyone thought they could today and did the fans proud by shutting up the loudmouth Eagles players and fans. The G-Men came up big in the 4th quarter by shutting out the Eagles and scoring fifteen points themselves. Ironically enough, I have to divide my defensive game ball up in three parts too for DE Jason Pierre-Paul, CB Aaron Ross and S Kenny Phillips. Today was a great day to be a Giants fan.
Let’s take a look at some of my notes from the game.
QB Eli Manning – Manning had an outstanding game and finished 16/23 with 254 yards 4 TD’s and 0 INT’s.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw – Bradshaw is simply a beast. He finished with 86 yards on the ground, 53 receiving yards and 1 TD.
WR Hakeem Nicks – Nicks was being smothered the entire game but still finished with 25 yards.
CB Aaron Ross – Ross played out of his mind today and was all over the field. He finished with 2 INT’s.
DE Justin Tuck – Tuck was having a good game until he left with an injury. We all hope he will be OK.
WR Victor Cruz – This Jersey native had a break out game today. He finished with 102 yards and 2 TD’s.
RB Brandon Jacobs – Brandon the Bull had a great game and finished with 19 yards on the ground, 53 yards receiving and 1 TD.
S Antrel Rolle – Rolle had a good game and kept his cool despite the Eagles players trying to get in his head.
WR Mario Manningham – Super Mario missed this game due to a concussion. Fans are hoping Mario will have a speedy recovery and get back on the field soon. Get well soon Mario!
DE Jason Pierre-Paul – The future is now for this young man. He left the game late in the 4th after getting banged up but still finished with 2 sacks.
S Kenny Phillips – Phillips played an outstanding game and finished with 1 INT and 1 forced fumble.
LB Jacquian Williams – Keep your eye on this rookie. He led all defensive tacklers and plays with fire.
S Deon Grant – Grant had a great game and his veteran swagger on the field cannot be overstated. Re-signing him was huge this offseason.
LB Mathias Kiwanuka – Kiwi had a nice game and a few key tackles. I still think he should be used as a DE and not a LB.
TE Travis Beckum – Beckum’s return to the field was quiet and he finished with 1 catch for 2 yards.
WR Brandon Stokley – Stokley had a quiet game and finished with 1 catch for 7 yards.
LB Greg Jones – The rookie Jones is still settling into his role in the middle and had a decent game.
LB Michael Boley – Boley had a great game and continues to be the veteran presence needed in the LB group.
K Lawrence Tynes – Tynes made all three of his extra point attempts and had no FG attempts.
P Steve Weatherford – The Weatherman had another good game and kept the ball away from DeSean Jackson.
Giants Defense – The defense was outstanding today and finished with 2 sacks, 3 INT’s and 1 forced fumble.
Giants Offense – Hats off to Kevin Gilbride who called a good game today. The Giants offense played their best game of the year.
Giants Special Teams – Even the special teams got in on the party and played much better today.

NEW YORK – It is time for another nygreporter sports special. Our readers know these sports specials are about the world of sports in general and not specifically about the Giants. They are usually about a New York team or player but could be about anything sports related and from anywhere in the world. Today, I would like to discuss a guy named Mo, maybe you have heard of him. Mariano Rivera is the best closer to ever play the game of baseball, period. On September 19, 2011, during a beautiful day game, Rivera collected his 602nd save to officially make him the all-time saves leader in Major League Baseball. He also has 42 post season saves that do not count towards the regular season total. Congrats to Mr. Rivera, who is one of the classiest guys in the game and one of my favorite all-time players.
Let’s take a quick look at Rivera’s numbers. I expect these numbers will change rather quickly but as for today, here there are. Mariano is a 12-time All-Star, 5-time World Series Champion, 1999 World Series MVP, the all-time MLB leader for saves (602), the MLB all-time leader in post-season saves (42) and the MLB leader in finishing games (881). He has also won a ton of other awards but these are the big ones in my opinion. Not a bad resume at all and the guy already has 40 saves this year. It is amazing that after all of these years, opposing batters still get chills when they hear the “Enter Sandman” song blasting out over the speakers. I am so glad that I was able to watch his entire career from start to finish. Guys like Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams and Andy Pettitte were my generations Mickey Mantle, Thurman Munson, Lou Gehrig and Joe D. Rivera is also the last player allowed to wear the #42 jersey which has been retired throughout baseball in honor of Jackie Robinson.
It seems like just yesterday, when the Yankees debuted a right hander named Mo but it was actually 16 years ago in May of 1995. Since then, there has been no better closer in baseball and fans were able to see a legend perform on the field every summer in ballparks across America. For most Yankee fans, Rivera will forever be remembered for his cutter, for breaking bats and his cool demeanor. He was always more concerned about winning games then he was about personal achievements. I have an authentic Mariano Rivera baseball jersey in my closet. It takes a lot for me to go out and buy an authentic jersey in any sport because they cost so much. A player must also be exceptional for me to want to wear their name or number on my back. Rivera is one of those players and I wish he could play the game for another 20 years. He is truly a New York Legend.
I have my own personal story about Rivera to share with you now. Actually, I have dozens of stories about seeing Mo get saves LIVE in front of me but one stands out most of all. It was October 27, 1999 and I was in the Bronx for Game 4 of the World Series. You may remember, the Yankees beat the Braves 4-1 in Game 4 that year and I was in the House that Ruth Built when it happened. Roger Clemens was on the mound and beat John Smoltz (both Cy Young winners) while Mariano Rivera closed out the game for the save and sweep of the Braves. Rivera was also named the Series MVP. It is without a doubt the greatest single LIVE sports moment of my life. To be there for “the moment” my favorite baseball team won a Championship is the stuff we all dream about as kids. NEW YORK – It doesn’t matter how the Giants win tonight against the Rams, they just have to win. All that matters is that they avoid the dreaded 0-2 start and build some confidence going into their second divisional battle next Sunday against the Eagles. I’m not advocating any dirty play by Big Blue mind you, I am simply saying they need to man handle those guys and take the victory. I have already said that I believe the team needs to win every game from here on out leading up to the bye week (week seven). If the Giants lose tonight, things are going to get very interesting in New York.
The Giants are still dealing with a ton of injuries and will need the younger players to step up. This is your wake up call, you are an NFL player now and the team needs you. I believe the team has enough talent to win this game but there a few factors that need to come together. First, the special teams group needs to play better. They need to play like their jobs are on the line because they should be at this point. Second, the offensive play calling needs to be more aggressive and less predictable. Third, QB Eli Manning needs to get out of the funk he has been in since the preseason and get back to the player we all know he can be. I’m beginning to wonder if he is getting enough rest at home after having his first child. He seems sluggish and unfocused at times out there. If the three factors I’ve mentioned here can come together, I think the Giants will win the game tonight and get back on the right track for the season.
I recommend that all Giants fans watch this game tonight. I’m sure I do not need to tell the “true blue” fans that but there is an extra incentive for fans to check it out. The Giants will be honoring the 25th anniversary of the 1986 New York Giants Championship team that won Super Bowl XXI. That 86′ team is widely considered one of the best NFL teams ever. It is without question a top three all-time team and some may argue they are number one overall. The Giants will have a special halftime ceremony to honor the players and fans can even grab an autograph if they attend the game. Former Giants players will be located at all four entrances and available for autographs from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST. Be prepared for long lines and additional security measures.
The game itself starts at 8:30 PM EST and the weather is expected to be clear and around 60 degrees. If you have kids, you might want to bring a jacket for them (and yourself) if you plan on attending the game. My final score prediction is Giants 27 – Rams 21.

NEW YORK – The Giants lost to the Redskins for their season opener. We are all well aware of that. However, since that loss, the rumors and worry warts have come out in full view and have begun a campaign of shame about Big Blue. It seems like prior to the Redskins game, everyone was full of positivity despite the gargantuan amount of injuries the team had suffered. The latest being star WR Hakeem Nicks and DE Justin Tuck who may miss his 2nd straight game this week. When does it end? Some fans have started to panic causing a mutiny between the true blue fans and fair weather fans. Things could get very ugly if something isn’t done to stop the “sub-500” talk which has become rampant.
There is no doubt that there is cause to be concerned. It is simple math at this point and when you add up all of the first string talent that has been lost for the season (particularly on defense) it becomes hard to argue with the numbers. The Giants are in serious trouble unless these second string players perform like first string players. I need not remind the fans about what Redskins QB Rex Grossman did to our secondary last weekend. What do you think will happen when we play QB Drew Brees, QB Tom Brady or QB Aaron Rodgers this year? Are you starting to get the picture? I’m a positive guy and not one for pep talks, rather I prefer action and seeing results. The Giants need to fix a lot of problems and there is no time left on the clock. QB Eli Manning has his own issues to work out because he has not been himself this entire year. Fans are waiting for him to break out of this funk that seems to be plaguing him despite all of the “everything is fine” talk.
There is no theory or discussion that can replace talent on the field. For three years in a row now, the Giants have fallen victim to the injury bug and there is nothing they can do about it. There is no quick fix for this problem. There is no pep talk that will cover WR DeSean Jackson or WR Dez Bryant. You simply need the best possible personnel on the field to battle with the opposing teams pro bowl players. The Giants do not have their best squad on the field and will have to deal with it. Head Coach Tom Coughlin knows this but must remain the rock for both the team nd the fans. It is amazing how a team with so much talent can remain so mediocre on the scales of progress due to injuries. There needs to be some changes made and GM Jerry Reese knows it. The Giants will face the St. Louis Rams next on Monday Night Football at 8:30 PM EST.

NEW YORK – I would like to wish all of our readers and Giants fans everywhere a very Happy Labor Day. I know that these are very tough times we are living in and many of you might be out of work. I have experienced that myself during the past two years of an absolutely horrible economy. The only thing I can say is keep your head up and stay strong because it is not easy when you’re going through it. These tough times cannot last forever. I hope that you all have a very nice day with your family or friends and get out of the house for a little while. Maybe attend a BBQ to commemorate the end of summer, take the kids to the park or just have a few drinks with buddies. Whatever it is that you decide to do, I hope you enjoy yourself.
Some of the people who we know will be working hard are the players, coaches and staff of the New York Giants. They have a ton of work to do in a very short amount of time. The regular season begins in six days (9/11/11 at 4:15 PM EST) when they face the Washington Redskins in DC. Everything is pretty much in place for them to get started, including cutting down to the 53 man Roster and finally deciding on a tentative depth chart. The MetLife stadium (Giants stadium aka New Meadowlands stadium) will be rocking very soon Giants fans and some of you will be the ones doing the rocking. I hope everyone remembers that kids attend these games, so let’s try to keep it classy and drink responsibly (Giants fans don’t need this advice really, it’s the Jets fans we should be concerned with).

NEW YORK – The Giants have been decimated by injuries for the past three years in a row. There is nothing more frustrating to the players, coaches and fans then the team losing games because they cannot field the best talent available. It has now become an epidemic, as the Giants have lost a ton of quality players to injury for the year and we have not even started the regular season yet. At some point, even the fans have to question the conditioning program in their search of why so many players have been going down in recent years. I am not calling out anyone on the Giants staff but this seems to be more then just bad luck when the Giants have consistently lost 20% of their team for the past three years. I’m not sure who or why anyone would argue with trying to find out the reason.
It is my intention to find the problem and eliminate it. I now this is highly unlikely but we can try right. I’m sure that people will say that injuries are a part of the game and I would agree with them but this is out of control now. This isn’t your run of the mill injury list, year in and year out. We are talking about high quality players and tens of millions of dollars being thrown away. At what point do we take a long hard look into what the heck is going on with players dropping like flies every year? I say the time is now to do a thorough investigation and evaluation of the strength and conditioning habits and routines that all Giants players must adhere to. Are they too strict or too soft? Are players not being taught the proper techniques? Are the players and coaches being held accountable? Is there any other answer besides a bad luck streak?
I’m not sure what can be done but it is becoming very hard to watch these players go down. I’m sure the coaches feel it even more then me with Coach Coughlin being the pinnacle of pain during these horrible turn of events. Football is a contact sport and injuries will happen but can any of you Giants fans out there honestly say that you can remember a three year stretch where we have lost so many good players due to injury? I know that I can honestly say no to that question. Let’s find out where the problem lies and eliminate it. By my count, the Giants have lost 36 players to injury over the past three years (including this year thus far).
Here is the list of Giants players who have been injured during the 2011 offseason.
1. CB Terrell Thomas – Out for season/IR List
2. CB Bruce Johnson – Out for season/Cut.
3. CB Brian Witherspoon – Out for season/IR List.
4. DT Marvin Austin – Out for season/IR List.
5. LB Clint Sintim – Out for season/IR List.
6. CB Prince Amukamara – Out 6-8 weeks.
7. WR Duke Calhoun – Injured/Cut.
8. OL Adam Koets – PUP List.
9. WR Ramses Barden – PUP List.
10. K Lawrence Tynes – Missed final 3 preseason games. Questionable for start of regular season.
11. DE Osi Umenyiora – Expected to to miss 2-4 weeks of the regular season after surgery.

NEW YORK – The Giants “experts” and most football fans believe that the G-Men will run all over the Dolphins on Sunday. My advice to all of those thinking this is an easy win is to remain quiet until after the game. The Dolphins have been disrespected and pushed around all year. The worst thing about this team is they have absolutely nothing to lose by playing crazy. By playing crazy I mean doing things out of the ordinary and making crazy plays like it was a meaningless Pro Bowl game. I think DC Perry Fewell needs to keep the players on their toes this week in practice and prepare them for some funky college-type madness.
